Lexie's First Mother's Day and a Friendship Walk With Her Daddy

We had such a great family weekend once again.  It started out with a trip to Pittsburg, KS bright and early on Saturday morning so that we could participate in The Dylan Meier Get Busy Livin' 5K and Friendship Walk.  It was a bit of a long car ride for Lexie but we are trying to get her in traveling shape for the months ahead.   She woke us up around 6:30 that morning and we fed her and got her in the car for the ride.  It wasn't too far down the road, with a full belly that she cuddled up with her blanket and her favorite little snuggly, Gerry the Giraffe.  Gerry is one lucky snuggly because he has been all over the place with Lexie.
Lexie loves her giraffe!

It was so nice outside once we got out of the car in Pittsburg, the walk and run went great!  It was just a great event.  George was able to catch up with Kerry and to also see some of the KU Football players who came out to support their friend and his family.

It felt great to run again!

On Sunday, we celebrated Mother's Day.  It was obviously my first Mother's Day and Lexie and George got me a beautiful necklace!  We went to church in the morning and the day ended with George making dinner for me while I got Lexie ready for bed.  It is so nice to have our family time!  I feel like my life is blessed with an extremely amazing husband and my little princess who is growing leaps and bounds every day!

And last but not least... Lexie had her 6 month well-check earlier this week and she is growing.  She now weighs 18 pounds 15 ounces (91 percentile) and she is 23 1/4 inches long (99th percentile).
