Matsakis Memories: An Afternoon With Some Friends

The weekend weather was so perfect, why not take in an afternoon at the local neighborhood park! Lexie, George, and I had a great time over the weekend with early morning walks, running errands, and making plenty of time to play. We invited out friends Laura and Carter Lewis to join us at the park on Saturday. It was a much needed opportunity for us to have some adult time (well at least be able to visit with each other on our our walk to the park) but once the park was in sight, Lexie and Carter had their own ideas of what they wanted to do.

Lexie loves the swings and while Carter also likes the swings and slide, he is a little older than Lexie and he has the walking-thing going for him. He would take off in almost a power walk which left Laura chasing after him most of the time. We felt lucky as Lexie hung out mainly in the swings and then under the tree on a blanket for some quality time with her toys.
