Lexie and I have been cooped up in the house for most of the month of January. It has been very cold and we have gotten two somewhat "major" snow storms within the past couple of weeks. Getting to the gym is close to almost impossible for me at this point, even at 5am. Last week I decided to order the jogging stroller that I had received a gift card as a baby shower gift from the KU Football Family and put it together as soon as I got it. Today it warmed up to a nice 33 degrees so I thought, why not take it for a stroll. I got Lexie all bundled up and she did great! As we descended out for our trip around the neighborhood, I almost instantaneously decided to jog...got in about a mile before THE BIG HILL...yes, we have hills here in Kansas. Anyway, I just want to say thank you to the gentleman who was out walking his dog because he stopped me to so that he could check Lexie out and he saved me from going into what felt like respiratory distress. I guess it was a little premature of me to go out all gun-ho when I haven't even ran outside in over a year. Lexie and I made it home safely, she got in a great nap, and the rest of our day was quite lovely!
So cute! Love you new blog! :) Maybe it will give me inspiration to update ours more often!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of job stroller did you get? I'm investigating different kinds right now!
Thanks Amy! I got a B.O.B. Revolution, it is the best on the market for runners. It manuevers so easy.
